I am a proud native of Loudoun County and am fortunate enough to play for the USL Championship side, Loudoun United FC! We compete in the second division of major league soccer in the United States. 2019 will mark the 5th year in my professional soccer career. The previous 5 years have been spent with (in chronological order) Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Houston Dynamo and Seattle Sounders FC.
I began my soccer journey in Loudoun County playing for various LYSA teams growing up. As I advanced in my career and came closer to the college recruiting window I joined a team in Great Falls and found success with a great group of guys. During my junior year of high school I was recruited by a handful of schools, but once the University of Virginia offered their interest in me it became an easy decision!
In 2010 I started my college soccer career at The University of Virginia. The beginning of my soccer career at UVA was hard for me personally. I did not play a single regular season game until my senior year of school! After two years of sitting on the bench I stepped away from the team and took a year to evaluate my passion and desire to play soccer at the collegiate level. While away from the game and the daily routine of training I began to realize the importance of soccer beyond just playing on game day. The many people it has brought into my life and the relationships I have created through soccer are what made it so valuable to my life and when I was able to step away from the game for a year, it made this clear and obvious. Rejoining the team in 2013 was an easy decision and I gladly did so without the promise of minutes on game day. I made my first start on Senior night and helped our team advance to the ACC finals and NCAA semi-finals that year. In my final year at UVA I am proud to say I played for the 2014 National Champions!
